BJORNA ALSO WON 2ND PLACE IN A USDAA MATCH . SHE WAS AGE 10 .
By the time AKC started Agility in 1994, she was too old to compete at 14 .
In 1994 , NCDA merged with , and became a part of the UNITED KENNEL CLUB.
The USDAA has continued as its own entity still going strong. It also began to issue titles in 1990.
The AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB began organized agility in 1994.
At the end of the first year of AKC agility, Barbara and Richard Budny's elkhound, V-NATCH, UATCH CH MIDNIGHT SUN'S GRIN N BERRIT CDX MX AXJ AAD , "Berrit", made history by becoming the TOP DOG -ALL BREED IN AGILITY!
She was also the first elkhound in NCDA/UKC to achieve the Agility Championship. She was the forerunner and model agility elkhound for all the others who followed. Berrit earned advanced titles in all venues AKC, ASCA, NADAC, UKC and USDAA. Berrit participated in the PUPERONI 1997 First Agility Classic. SHE EARNED 39 Agility Titles, Multiple High in Trials, 250+ 1st Placements, First AKC MX Hound, First Place Hound Group AKC Nationals... and more.

The second elkhound to achieve the UKC Agility Championship was UACHX CH Vikiro's Bright Flame VCD2 AKC/CKC/UKC UD AX AXJ AD , "Brenne", owned by Kari Olson. She followed "Berrit's" championship by only a few hours, at the very same trial. "Brenne" was the first to earn the UKC Agility Championship Excellent.
In AKC, she was the first of her breed to achieve the Breed Championship, Utility Dog and Agility Excellent titles. Brenne participated in the 1997 PUPERONI FIRST AGILITY CLASSIC. She earned agility titles in AKC, UKC, NADAC, ASCA and USDAA.
BRENNE wins 1st place Open at the 1996 GMNEA Agility Trial under Mike Bond.
Her son, also owned by Kari Olson, CH LONGSHIPS ICEBREAKER VCD2 UDX2 RAE MX MXJ AXP OJP , "Brottsjo", titled beyond his mother's level, earning both the UKC Agility Championship Excellent title and the AKC Master agility titles. He earned agility titles in AKC, UKC and USDAA.
HE WAS THE FIRST and only elkhound thus far , in the UNITED KENNEL CLUB to earn all three, AGILITY, BREED AND OBEDIENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS, and first elkhound also to earn their UKC TOP DOG AWARD, 1996.
